Interested in accessing stuff that gets thrown away? Community Waste Initiatives - A Meeting of Minds We would like to invite you to a meeting being held at the University of Cumbria to discuss community waste initiatives and resource availability. Riversmeet and the University of Cumbria intend to undertake a waste audit of commercial and industrial businesses in Cumbria to identify waste streams which can be utilised by Community Groups whose aim is to reduce waste and promote sustainability. how can we make low carbon tourism a reality in the Lake District?
FREE COURSE Apple Grafting course, March 27 10 am to 5 pm WithRod Everett, at Middle Wood Roeburndale West During the course we will graft well over 100 trees to give you a repeated experience and develop your confidence. These trees will eventually contribute to the Lancashire Apple Project. This involved propagating rare and traditional apple varieties trees from around Lancashire. We will also look at the wide selection of fruit trees around the farm and see different grafting techniques. This course is supported by Lancashire County Council. Please bring warm and waterproof clothes and sturdy footwear. Bring your own lunch
